Jared Connors

Jared Connors has been immersed in the hearth industry for most of his life. While he’s been working full-time in the field since around 2007, his journey began much earlier through his father’s business, Classic Stoves & Fireplaces in Hanwell, New Brunswick. “My dad started the business, and I needed work,” Jared explained, just before adding, “he just wanted me to do something to keep me out of trouble!”

Over the years, Jared has worked both at Classic Stoves and for other companies, including Moritz Masonry in Medicine Hat, Alberta, where he did similar hearth-related work. However, Classic Stoves has been a constant in his life—a place where he’s found his professional home. What started as a way to stay out of trouble as a kid has become a lifelong career.

Jared’s advice for others in the industry is to find a balance between work and family. “Family matters most,” he said. “When you can find that balance, everything else tends to fall into place.” He lives this out by spending his free time watching his kids play sports, coaching his son’s football team, and going boating. One of his family’s favorite pastimes is traveling to Disney World, where they enjoy making memories together.

In short, Jared’s dedication to his family and business has shaped his career in the hearth industry. Thanks for sharing your story, Jared. The Fire Time Network appreciates your insight and commitment to maintaining a healthy work-life balance!
